| SOURCE | Pooled human plasma that has been tested negative at donor level for HBsAg, anti-HIV-1/2 and anti-Hepatitis C. |
| PRESENTATION | Supplied as a frozen solution in 0.05M NaH2PO4 buffer, pH 7.5, containing 0.15M NaCl with protease inhibitor cocktail. |
| PRESERVATIVE | 0.09% sodium azide. |
| PURITY | Approximately 90% of total protein is D-Dimer by SDS page. |
| ANALYSIS | The D-Dimer identity and content is determined using Biomerieux VIDAS which measures in FEU. Polyacrylamide gradient gel electrophoresis shows a single band at approximately 200kDA corresponding to the molecular weight of D-Dimer |
| DILUTION BUFFER | It is recommended to use a dilution buffer containing 1% human serum albumin solution |
| NOTE | D-Dimer assays are not standardised therefore there will be variation with the D-dimer concentration reported by VIDAS compared to the use of other assay systems. |
| STORAGE | -20ºC. Repeated freeze thaw cycles should be avoided. |
