| PRODUCT PRESENTATION | Supplied freeze-dried from 0.02M ammonium bicarbonate. The product may contain traces of buffer salts |
| ANALYSIS | Cellulose acetate electrophoresis shows one band only, indicating α1 electrophoretic mobility. Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis shows one band only at 660 kD corresponding to thyroglobulin. Under certain conditions sub-unit thyroglobulin is observed at 330 kD. Total protein is determined by the method of Lowry and by optical density using E280nm1cm, 0.1% =1.04 Immunological identity is confirmed by Radial Immunodiffusion (RID). Contaminant IgG is not detectable by Radial Immunodiffusion (RID). |
| PURITY | Nominally > 98% of the total protein is thyroglobulin. |
| RECONSTITUTION | Use of a phosphate buffer of pH >7.0 containing 0.15M NaCl is recommended. |
